Bio
Rebecca Stanek was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in Ohio, and went to graduate school in Michigan. She then diverged from her northwest trajectory and found herself in sunny Santa Barbara. She hopes the hockey gods forgive her for moving from Santa Barbara to . . . the Bay Area. Along the way she accumulated a dog, a husband, a camera, a PhD, and a son (in that order). Trained as a theoretical astrophysicist, this blog chronicles her encounters with reality.
